At a recent Social Vision Connects event, I caught up with Alison Dawson from The Belfry in York, and we spoke about a new fund for York that aimed to act as a catalyst for growth, innovation, or sustainability. I'm super excited to announce the fund has now launched - full details from Alison below.

The Belfrey is pleased to announce that their Catalyser Fund is now open for applications from charities and other social action organisations in York.

The aim of this fund is to provide grants that act as a catalyst for growth, innovation, or sustainability, to help organisations adapt and transform in order to keep making an impact in their communities. Work should align with one or more of the fund’s priority areas: Poverty, Mental Health and/or Young People and Families.

£100,000 is available in this fund for 2023. The Belfrey is looking to award grants up to a maximum of £15,000 and expect to fund 6 or 7 projects in total, depending on award amounts. The deadline for submission of applications is 19th May 2023. See https://www.belfrey.org/grants to find out more.

If this isn’t quite the right fit for your organisation, do check out the other Belfrey Fund, managed by Two Ridings Community Foundation, for grants of up to £5000. This will be open for applications until 28th August 2023. See https://www.tworidingscf.org.uk/fund/the-belfrey-small-grants-fund/ for more information.
