Accessible Arts & Media making a move to Acomb

York charity Accessible Arts & Media are on the move, after 10 fabulous years in Clifton. The charity will relocate to Sanderson House on Bramham Road in Acomb at the start of June, following the closure of their current base, Burton Stone Community Centre.

Accessible Arts & Media’s office base will be at Sanderson House, along with some of their project sessions. Their IMPs and Hands & Voices music groups have already made the move to Acomb and recently started running weekly evening sessions at York High School.

Creative Director, Rose Kent, says: “While we’re sad to be leaving Clifton, we’re looking forward to getting to know the groups and organisations who are making great things happen in the community in Acomb and Westfield.”

“We want to say a big thank you to everyone who’s made the last 10 years at Burton Stone Community Centre so fantastic. We’ve had a lot of fun being creative in Clifton and we’ve had the privilege of working with some utterly brilliant groups and individuals. And we’ve loved being part of the local community.”

Accessible Arts & Media will move to Sanderson House in the first week in June. For more information on the charity and their projects and activities, please visit www.aamedia.org.uk.
