Social Vision client Chance for Change have recently purchased a large bunkhouse, above Glenridding in the Lake District, from which to run their courses; supporting disadvantaged young people to experience the outdoors, learn independent living skills and make positive life choices.

The property is only occupied for 100 days of programmes in 2017, and is available for group hire for the remaining times.

There are 18 beds over 6 rooms, male and female showers, full commercial kitchen, WiFi and meeting facilities. Perfect for a family, club, group or staff residential getaway.

It’s the last property on the track up to Helvellyn, and is close to Striding Edge, Ullswater and only twenty minutes from the M6 and Penrith train station.

The whole bunkhouse is available for £200/night midweek and £250/weekends, which works out at just £11-£13 per person per night!

This is a great ethical place to escape with work, friends or family – the money you spend goes straight to the charity!

As a new rental property, there’s currently good availability all year, including during the school holidays.
