Refugee Action York’s next collection for Yorkshire Aid will be on Sunday 29 March, the first day of British Summer Time.

If the sight of the daffodils on the Bar Walls has spurred you on to start your spring cleaning, bear them in mind when clearing out your wardrobes and garages.

Please note they only need men’s clothing and specific camping and food items, more specifically:

  • Camping equipment: sleeping bags, tents, cooking equipment
  • Sturdy men’s shoes & boots
  • Small/medium men’s clothes
  • New pants & socks
  • Toiletries
  • Packaged dry food: for example – rice, lentils, tea
  • Ring-pull tinned food: for example – fish, meat, pulses, tomatoes

Donations will be delivered to the refugee camps in Calais where they are desperate for these basic items.

RAY thank everyone who donated to the last collection – it was a record-breaker!!

Bring donations to:

Refugee Action York Clifton Children’s Centre, Kingsway North, York, YO30 6JA

Sunday 29th March – 1pm-3pm
