Meeting Stef Bricklebank is like meeting a force to be reckoned with, and a breath of fresh air, all in one go. She is a smiley, full on, savvy woman who you cannot help being drawn to.
She worked for 13 years as a Youth worker at City of York Council and 8 years teaching A level students who needed a change in direction but still needed to stay in education, and disadvantaged individuals who needed to get their lives back on track at York College, before breaking free to set up her own School of Confidence.
And Stef has it in spades; confidence that is.
She is now working one-to-one with people to help them build up their self esteem, has written workshops to help others gain confidence, and is about to finish her first book ‘Saying yes to no’ which brings together snippets of her own life that has enabled her to be the formidable woman she is today.
I grew up in Scunthorpe and I am German. The two don’t really go together. How do you overcome that?
It’s all go for Stef and you can’t help but want to join her for the ride.
Stef’s confidence workshops are aimed at all types of people. She is naturally drawn to young people, having worked along side them for most of her career, and she is particularly keen to empower young women who may find themselves in dangerous situations.
She also wants to help those who want to say ‘No’ to the humdrum 9-5, or those wanting to ask for a promotion, but just don’t have the guts to do it.

A natural presenter, and an actress as well, Stef is also at home performing at huge corporate conferences.
