There are a whole host of events, happening over the city during the first 2 weeks of March, to celebrate International Women’s Day on the 8th March.

From coffee tasting to dancing, a menopause cafe to healing treatments, the aim is to raise the voice of, and celebrate, every woman in the world regardless of their background, identity, race or religion.

Saturday night, 9th March, sees an all-female line up of DJs in Miss Fabulous, Sister Silver, Bo Peep and Little Fire spinning selections at Irie Vibes at The Crescent hosted by special guest Ras Sis Highness.

On the same day, in the afternoon, The Centre@Burnholme have a Menopause Cafe for anyone to share their experiences and questions on menopause.

Kyra are hosting an all day party on 8th March at the Central Methodist Chapel on St Saviourgate  called ‘ All Women Heard’. Cakes, music, dancing, healing and laughter all guaranteed!

There is also theatre, cinema, poetry, exhibitions, a clothes swap and more. Details and a programme can be found here.
