I love to innovate. My absolute favourite approach is to look at the world (or a problem) through a child’s eyes. Children don’t think about how much something will cost, who they might annoy, how long things will take, or even if things are physically possible. I love the innocence of this type of innovation.
So, I’m grateful LankellyChase Foundation have given us a blank canvas to consult staff from the voluntary, community and social enterprise sectors working with people who are experiencing (or have experienced) homelessness. We want to know what’s not working, and what you would do to improve the system if there were no political, economical or societal influences. Essentially, what does a perfect system look like that supports people experiencing multiple disadvantages.
We are running an exclusive consultation evening for a small selection of our contacts to capture their views on our Social Sofa. There will be food, hot drinks and art – as well as the opportunity to network with others in your field and get an exclusive look at York’s newest and most innovative community venue (this is a new Social Vision project, but wrap up, we don’t have heating yet!)
Wednesday 9th October, Malthouse, 9 The Crescent, York, YO24 1AW >>> 5.30pm – 7.30pm
We have 30 places available for this event. To apply for a space, please email joe@social-vision.org.uk with your name, organisation, and interest in this area of work.
