It’s feels wonderful to feel somewhat liberated from our weeks of lockdown.

We get to meet friends again, often in the sun, and enjoy the best of York’s excellent green spaces.

The River, the Knavesmire, the Ings, Rowntree’s – they are all places a few weeks ago we could only dream about lazing around in.

But have you seen the litter?

All the above areas have been covered in litter – discarded cans, plastic, bags, you name it – all just left in piles of rubbish exactly where people have been sitting.

The same is happening in some of our further-afield beauty spots, and for goodness sake, can’t we make it stop?

Well the council have come up an excellent communications campaign ‘Don’t be a tosser’ to try and tackle just that.

And here at Social Vision HQ, we have to say, we love it.
