Every day at Social Vision, we meet inspirational people who are doing really great things right on our doorstep. And we are passionate about sharing their story. GoGet are one of those innovative organisations who we need to shout about.
Made up of a lovely husband and wife team, GoGet are great believers in ‘anything being possible’. They provide specialist sporting activities, with an emphasis on cycling, to people regardless of their age, ability or disability.
Passionate about outdoor pursuits and high risk sport, Andy and Helen bring a sense of adventure and achievement to all that come to them.
Based in Burnholme Community Hub and working between there and Tang Hall Community Centre, GoGet offer different forms of cycling tuition and fun activity – from one-on-one training for kids with additional needs, often providing a persons first experience of cycling with a range of adapted bikes, to full classes on balance bikes introducing kids of all ages to the joys of cycling with fun tracks and ramps.
It’s not just about learning how to ride, it is about sharing the joy, boosting confidence, creating a passion for all things adventurous.
With a wealth of experience in outdoor pursuits, both Andy and Helen have also worked extensively with disabled and disadvantaged young people and it is their passion to see that sporting participation is available to all regardless of ability or a perceived disability that really drives them.
If you know of an individual, a group or a school who would benefit from GoGet’s hands on approach to outdoor pursuits, do get in touch with Andy directly on 01904 501177 and for more information about GoGet in general check out their Facebook page
