If you’re seeking funding to support vulnerable groups in York, the Lottery’s Reaching Communities fund is now prioritising applications from groups responding to Coronavirus, with grants over £10,000.

(For smaller grants under £10k, click here)

Here’s the criteria:

  • Organisations supporting people who are at high risk from COVID-19
  • Organisations supporting communities most likely to face increased demand and challenges as a direct result of measures to prevent the result of COVID-19
  • Organisations with high potential to support communities with the direct and indirect impact of COVID-19

They will support organisations who fit these priorities with funding for activities specifically geared to supporting communities through this crisis.

They will also consider how they can support such organisations to respond to any acute financial difficulties they might face as a result of the crisis.

Applications are online, and if you need support there’s the excellent local Beware of the Bull who have a huge success rate in Awards for All bids. There’s also an online webinar (from Salford-base Community Futures Trust) on Monday to walk you through the application process (£10 donation to a Manchester Foodbank).
