“There are three responses to a piece of design—yes, no, and WOW! Wow is the one to aim for.” Milton Glaser
Social Vision recently presented Dementia Forward‘s 2019 Impact Report to a definite ‘wow’ reaction from CEO Jill Quinn, and Deputy CEO Netty Newell.
I’ve been working with Dementia Forward most of 2019, getting to know the culture, values and personality of the organisation, as well as understanding its services, products and beneficiaries. All of this combined to allow me to create this Impact Report.
The purpose of the Impact Report is to demonstrate to funders, partners and stakeholders the difference Dementia Forward are making. I want them to stand out from the other charities pitching to funders, and this document allows them to do this.
It’s lightweight and concise, but still packing loads of evidence about the difference they’re making. And central to everything are the real stories – the human element. These guys are changing lives on a daily basis – numbers and graphs don’t do that justice!
My favourite part of the report? Definitely Jill’s introduction:
As you read this impact report, I ask you to keep at the fore of your mind that these are real people, living alongside us, whose stories are rarely told. Dementia has no prejudice. It affects everybody – rich or poor, young or old, black or white. The people Dementia Forward supports built our towns and cities, served our communities, taught our children, cared for us when we were ill. They should not be defined by their diagnosis, rather their contribution to all our lives.
