York is full of amazing people. We all know that. And Covid has really shown how good we are as a city and sector at pulling together in response to crisis.
Here at Social Vision we pride ourselves on making introductions and connecting people in the sector – enabling amazing people can collaborate, share and learn to support our city’s most vulnerable, isolated and marginalised communities. But throughout lockdown and with social gatherings restricted, we’ve been unable to run our regular connects events, and my experience thus far of group zooms hasn’t been the best!
So for the next few months, we’re launching INTRODUCING…. a new blog series that introduces you to people doing amazing things in York. We’ll be speaking to funders, leaders, grassroots organisations, volunteers and small social business owners about what makes them tick, their vision for York, some of the challenges they face, and how you can connect to them. We’ll have well known faces, people new to the sector, and those that just plough on with stuff in the background under the radar.
