The excellent Kyra Women’s Project here in York have set up a new programme called LEAP, and are looking for participants to get involved.

LEAP encourages learners, who are unemployed or economically inactive, to take an active role in their own career development.

Through social, creative and learning opportunities, with the aim that they will progress into employment or further education/learning, learners will be supported with one-to-one mentorship and guided learning to achieve their own personal goals.

As a learner, you will work one to one with Becky, the Project Mentor, to discuss your goals and hopes for the programme and beyond. You will create a bespoke pathway to reach these goals, by getting involved in a variety of different activities and sessions, at Kyra and beyond!

How do I get involved?

To be able to take part in this programme as a learner you must be:

⦁            A woman over 18

⦁            A legal resident of the UK

⦁            Unemployed or economically inactive

To sign up, refer women, or discuss the programme, please email the LEAP project mentor, Becky: BeckyL@kyra.org.uk. She will be able to discuss the project further and support you in deciding if this program is for you and answer any questions that you may have.

The programme is funded by the European Community Fund and the Education and Skills Funding Agency.
