Passionate volunteers needed to help York become a net zero carbon city

One Planet York is an organisation which aims to facilitate collaboration amongst members to create a more sustainable city.

This includes collaborative projects, networking & communication events and the creation of a Climate Action Group of volunteers who can focus on the projects they do.

York Council declared a Climate Emergency in April last year, therefore One Planet are focusing their efforts on the policy of York becoming a net zero carbon city by 2030.

A massive challenge for the people, businesses and organisations in York – but one we can not fail to meet.

One Planet are now looking for some volunteer support to take up this challenge.

They are looking for some additional support from the community in York to join their transition board – willing to spend at least 4 hours per week on the project – so they can push the project forward.

There are two specific roles in:

Marketing, communications and events.

Grants, funding and accounts (Treasurer).
