Where will you go first? The swings in Rowntree Park or the zip wire at the Outgang? Just don’t forget your hand sanitiser.
Play areas across York will start to re-open from Wednesday 8 July, following their recent closure.
Can you believe there are 48 play areas across the city, together with around 30 parks run by parish councils, housing associations and the Ministry of Defence.
Families can now visit any council play area, whilst following sensible social distancing and hygiene precautions:
- Wash hands prior to and after visiting the park,
- Use hand sanitiser and hand wipes during and after the visit
- Avoid eating in the play areas.
- Staying 2m away from others outside their household or support bubble, where possible.
Signs will remind people of the guidelines.
All the Council sites have undergone safety checks prior to opening to ensure they meet all the necessary health and safety requirements.
