Community Bees are running two fun afternoon tea & market stall events to help a group of local men raise money to build a shed with a model railway in it.

The men would like to meet up regularly and have their own space to enjoy their hobbies together in. There will also be an area for women who want to have a go at different crafts.

The idea of the shed is to prevent loneliness and social isolation and to have a safe meeting space for people living with dementia.

To support the initiative, join them at Oaken Grove Community Centre, Haxby on Wednesday 20th November 2019 between 1pm – 3:30pm or St Lukes Church, Shipton Street off Burton Stone Lane on Wednesday 4th December between 3pm – 6pm.

Get in touch with Michaela 07772 107763 or John 07816 150872 for more information or email them directly at communitybees2018@gmail.com
