Safeguarding adults week (21st-27th Nov), run by the Ann Craft Trust, has begun! Each year has a different theme, and this year’s theme is ‘Responding to Contemporary Safeguarding Challenges’.

Safeguarding adults week is a time for organisations to come together to raise awareness of important safeguarding issues. The week aims to start conversations and share best practice, as well as enable more organisations and individuals to feel confident in recognising signs of abuse and neglect and reporting safeguarding concerns.

Each day of the week has a different theme:

  • Monday – Exploitation and County Lines
  • Tuesday – Self-neglect
  • Wednesday – Creating Safer Organisational Cultures
  • Thursday – Elder Abuse
  • Friday – Domestic Abuse in Tech-Society
  • Saturday & Sunday – Safeguarding in Everyday Life

The Ann Craft Trust has put together a long list of resources to help you find out more about these themes, as well as show your support and promote the week on social media.
