Health and wellbeing provider Benenden Health are looking for community projects or activities to support through one-off funding awards in York and the surrounding areas (within a 20 mile radius of York City centre).

The funding awards will be up to £2,000 per initiative and support activities which aim to improve health and wellbeing, be it physical, mental and emotional health or boost social connections. This is to support services provided and/or raise awareness and promote understanding of mental health, physical health, and wellbeing issues within the community.

The chosen initiatives should have a health-related focus. Previous recipients of the Fund have included a new parent support group, strength classes for the elderly community, sensory equipment for children’s groups, forest schools, children’s sports groups, cooking clubs and gardening groups.

The application can be on behalf of a project or activity happening within the 20-mile radius of York City centre, even if the applying group/organisation is based outside of this radius. You do not need to be a registered charity or community interest company to apply.

For an application form and our terms and conditions please emailcommunity@benenden.co.uk, we will issue application forms on receipt of request. The closing date for applications is midnight, Sunday 4 December.
