Social Vision sponsor exercise wellbeing zone in York

Always on the look out to support innovative local initiatives, we are absolutely thrilled to be the first company to sponsor a Move the Masses ‘Move Zone‘ at the Millennium Fields in Fishergate.

We love the idea that the local charity is striving to make exercise truly accessible for everyone in the city as we know how much this can improve happiness and wellbeing for everyone. Here’s what Joe had to say:

I’ve been supporting Move the Masses since inception and love the idea of people across York getting access to free exercise and mobility sessions regardless of age, ability or fitness level. An active body is so important for mental health and wellbeing, and cost, time and location are often barriers to people looking after themselves. I’m therefore delighted to be the first organisation in York to sponsor a Move Zone, and encourage other organisations across the city to get involved and support this worthy cause.

Move the Masses advertise and promote the locations of local outdoor gym facilities called ‘Move Zones’, so that people can easily see where they can exercise outdoors, for free.

They have also run free, pop-up fitness sessions at several Move Zones across the city reaching over 250 people in 2019.

And they organise community filming sessions where people can come along, learn some exercises and help them create simple video resources for others to use in the future.

If you want to show your support for their work, and get your organisation’s name out and about in the community, you can sponsor a Move Zone here.
