Social Vision has been selected to work alongside a group of University of York students, coaching them to develop their social business ideas.
Joe will be spending the summer working alongside four students to help them create a business plan, explore routes to market and articulate their social impact. Joe said:
This is a really exciting project. There is so much talent within the city’s student population, and these four young social entrepreneurs are seeking to address some of York’s social issues through their business ideas.
Retention rates of graduates are low, with many leaving York to settle and launch businesses elsewhere. Through Social Vision they will get an understanding and awareness of the issues that exist across the city, and access to networks and contacts who can support them, alongside professional business coaching.
From my perspective, I would like to retain these talented young people in York. Their innovation and passion will inspire others to follow in their footsteps, and align with Social Vision’s aim to make York a place where opportunity exists for all residents.
Social Vision offers one-to-one coaching to small start up enterprises with a social purpose. If you’re at a crossroads, plateauing, or struggling with a specific issue, email joe@social-vision.org.uk to book a coaching session.
