Support for Transgender people to feel better about themselves

Generate has become the “go to place” for trans services in York. Founded in 2011, Generate believes everyone has the right to live authentically, to represent their true selves completely, including imperfections and vulnerabilities, whilst knowing they deserve respect, acceptance, and love.

Generate has a project running until May called Future Focus.

It is a program of support which is designed to help Transgender people feel better about themselves and more confident in how they present to the world.

At Generate they know everyone is different and they positively embraces that ethos. They expect individuals to have different needs, beliefs, and goals which is why Future Focus has a variety of workshops and 1:1 support in which individuals can set their own learning outcomes and goals for growth.

Whether this is masculinising, feminising or queering the binary Generator hope to offer something for everyone.

The programme includes:

  • Peer to peer support sessions
  • 1:1 Coaching and/or Support
  • Voice coaching
  • Hair & make-up tutorial
  • Clothing & style tips

Future Focus is FREE for anyone who is 18+, identifies under the umbrella of trans/non-binary/questioning, unemployed and not in education, living in York or North Yorkshire.
