York Foodbank have come up with an easy, but innovative, challenge to support people in York who are struggling to afford food.
They are asking you to join them, over lent, in taking small actions to transform lives by giving up 40 pence for 40 days. With the addition of Gift Aid, by the time lent finishes, this comes to £20.
All donations will mean they can support local families in crisis throughout the Easter period.
Families, who live close to you, are struggling to make ends meet on a daily basis. York Foodbank provide essential emergency food, emotional support and practical advice to them.
So instead of giving up chocolate for lent, why not give up some spare change? It really could make a huge difference.
