Sherrie from Kyra’s ROSE project has provided a short update on the project, and how 2021 is shaping up. The ROSE Project is for young women aged 18-25 and runs Zoom sessions on Wednesday nights (6.30 – 7.30)

ROSE has managed to keep running with pockets of funding making it sustainable. There is funding until March 2021 with funding applications in so fingers crossed!

Our sessions are very informal and we chat, quiz, craft, rant and laugh…any ideas of activities are welcome from members. Lately we have been sending parcels to members with activities to do together in the sessions which has worked well!

There is also a zoom theatre project working with Thunk it Theatre just for young women aged 18 and over.

Also on offer is 1-1 support. This is space to lift the mood, offload… somewhere to talk on a 1-1 basis about anything you may need. It may be that you are lonely, feeling fed up, or want to talk through how to manage Lockdown 3? Sessions are as and when you require so once a week or just a one off.

I can also signpost to other Kyra sessions and support which may be helpful. I am able to look at some partner agency work in the future or interested to know if anyone can note  any gaps in services and support for young women. Any questions or suggestions please get in touch.
