Family-friendly practical walking tours in the city

If you are new to York and want to get to know the key landmarks, as well as the essential amenities, the monthly ‘Walking around York’ walks are for you.

When you come to a new city sometimes it is the most practical things you need to know. Like where the station is or the library. These walking tours are perfect for that, and a great chance to make new friends along the way.

Set up by United Bikes and YUMI, the walks will introduce anyone new to York how to walk to key landmarks and essential amenities, including the hospital, supermarkets, universities, parks, libraries and the train station.

It’s family-friendly and everyone is welcome

Saturday 2 July -10am at York Explore Library
Saturday 6 August -10am at York Art Gallery
Saturday 3rd September – 10am at York Minster
Saturday 1sh October – 10am at York Tower Gardens
