Today, Social Vision headed to Holloway, North London, to capture some images of Hibiscus Initiatives; a small voluntary sector organisation providing support for migrants caught up in the UK Criminal Justice System.

Due to the sensitivity of their service users, we ran a photoshoot with staff in a local park. The images are for use on the organisation’s website and across their publicity materials, and were taken by the talented Becki from All You Need is Love Photography. In preparation for the shoot, Social Vision visited Hibiscus to get a feel for their work, the type of services they offer, and how they’d like to use the images. This allows us to brief the photographer and ensure we capture the right tone.

There’s a real lack of high quality images across smaller organisations in the voluntary sector, mainly due to the high costs; and Social Vision is committed to providing all organisations with professional quality images as part of our desire to see the sector’s profile raised.

Funders, donors, partners and the public all respond well to strong, powerful images, and it’s often a high-impact way of delivering your organisation’s messages.
