Our Social Sofa hit the streets of Acomb to ask local residents what they love about their area, and what they would change.

Joe Gardham said:

Public consultations in York always seem to take place in the City Centre, asking articulate and socially mobile people for their thoughts. Through my time living and working across different areas of York I have met many people who don’t go into town, don’t feel like the City has anything to offer them, and don’t feel that their voice is heard. In response, our Social Sofa headed out to Acomb to ask local residents two simple questions – what do you love about Acomb, and what would you change?
