It’s a warm hello from me, Liv – the new Editor of Social Vision News, taking over from Bec.

When I first came to York in 2016 for university, I fell in love with the city. It’s such a beautiful place, and I really felt at home here. I became passionate about helping to make it a better place – through volunteering and interning at non-profits in the city throughout my time at university, and then by working in non-profits since graduating.

My degree was in History, and I’ve kept this passion going through visiting (almost!) every museum that York has to offer. I also really enjoy spending time with my friends doing exciting things like hiking, climbing, and even caving in and around the beautiful Yorkshire countryside.

I really like the work Social Vision do in connecting York’s third sector and helping to promote the work of smaller charities and community projects. I’ve managed Social Vision’s social media since February which has allowed me to see how appreciated it is in the community, too!
